Online Application Process

In order to apply online for the Languages at work Program, please go to www.youngcanadaworks.ca. Follow the steps below!

Filling out your portion of the application on the Young Canada Works website is the only way to register for Languages at Work and receive a summer job through the program. After each step choose the “Next” button at the bottom of the page.

Step 1: Create your account. In the left column, click on: Want to register? Click here for the 2010 campaign! Enter your e-mail address and an easy to remember password.

Step 2: In the section “Jump-Start Your Career with Young Canada Works”, select the box that says “Languages at Work”.

Step 3: Fill out your personal information.

Step 4: Fill out your contact information. Your permanent address is where you live in Quebec; your temporary address is where you live during the school year (not your homestay family’s address).

Step 5: Fill out the current level of education you have obtained.

Step 6: Fill out the highest level of education you have completed up till now.

Step 7: Fill out your career objectives. You may answer the questions with very short answers; this section will not be used by the employers to hire you, but they may read it! So make it short but accurate.

Step 8: Fill out your availability.

Step 9: Briefly fill out your past work experience.

Step 10: Briefly summarize your Personal Achievements and Interests. Do not waste your time on this section, 2-3 sentences is fine.

Step 11: Employment equity section. Answer however you want.

Step 12: Submit your application.
